In the ceremony kicking off the writer’s centenary commemorations, the President of the Republic awarded him the posthumous award of the great necklace of the Order of Camões. This was followed by the Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa putting a dialogue to music using the words of the author, and the Spanish writer Irene Vallejo addressed the audience to praise the reading.
