Isolated from the rest of the world, Tonga reveals extent of its destruction - and its environment could suffer for years

Isolated and lacking means of communication, the archipelago of Tonga is covered in volcanic ash and wreckage, with some areas inundated. The tsunami caused by a violent volcanic eruption on Saturday has taken at least four lives - but the authorities fear there could be more to come.
