On day four, Putin plays the nuclear threat card

The decision to put nuclear weapons on "high alert" is seen as possibly wanting to dissuade countries from helping Ukraine, or as a response to a Russian Army performance other than what was expected on the ground. Failing to take cities, the military may be preparing to lay siege to them, the US says.
